President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to go about their lawful daily activities without fear as the country’s security agencies are taking actions to safeguard everyone. The president said this on Tuesday while expressing his condolences to the families of Precious Owolabi, an NYSC member with Channels TV, and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Usman Umar, of the FCT Police Command, who died during the violent protest by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) in Abuja on Monday.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday revealed that the screening of ministerial nominees will commence on Wednesday.

This was after the Senate President read out the list on the floor of the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly.

A reporter at Channels Television has been hit by stray bullet in the ongoing clash between members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) and officers of the Nigerian Police. A former presidential aide, Reno Omokrisays President Muhamamdu Buhari should consider first banning herdsmen before banning the Islamic Movement of Nigeria(IMN) aka Shi’ites. Omokri said on Tuesday that he heard the president has plans to ban IMN, following the bloody clashbetween the group and the police in Abuja.

The governing council of the University of Abuja has issued a letter recalling Igwe Ude Umanta, the school’s former Student Union Government President(SUG) who was expelled from the school for leading a protest over a lack of potable water in the school environment 12 years ago. According to the letter which was sent across to him, he was called to come back for his final 400 level examination which he reportedly missed as a result of the expulsion.

The Anambra state police command has released some hospital staff it arrested in Anambra in connection with the missing ear of a baby in the hospital after investigation revealed that the ear was eaten by a rat.
